An organization is a group of people organized and working together to achieve something they could not do on their own. Private for-profit organizations work together to increase profits. Private not-for-profit organizations work together to achieve a community purpose. Public organizations work together to fulfil policies of a government.

Significance is a state of being worthy of attention. I define significance as who you are is what you do; what you do is what you leave behind, so start with the end in mind."  Organizational significance is a group of people working together to do something greater than themselves, and to leave behind a legacy that lasts.
